When we're not out in the field growing and digging dahlias, you'll usually find us out enjoying the wild beauty of the Oregon Coast that makes this place so special.
Living in Astoria means being surrounded by water, forests, and endless views. It's morning walks along the Astoria Riverwalk watching ships from around the world pass by, quiet drives out to the beaches, and afternoons spent exploring the small towns, local shops, and hidden coastal trails.
Some of our favorite ways to soak in the coast:
- Beachcombing for treasures along the shoreline
- Watching the sunset (or a winter storm) roll in over the Pacific
- Braving the weather to dig razor clams
- Visiting local farmers markets and supporting small businesses
- Exploring historic Astoria, from the waterfront to the Astoria Column
- Taking scenic drives along Highway 101 and discovering new viewpoints along the way
Life here is shaped by the weather, the tides, and the seasons - the same forces that shape our flowers. The salty air, cool nights, and ever-changing coastal skies are part of what makes growing here both a challenge and a joy.
